Clearing tornado damaged forest - RV Logging
This Spring, RV Logging spent weeks selectively cutting and clearing the land behind our neighborhood, woodland that was decimated in the tornado of 2011.
Working in extremely dangerous conditions, Randy Vilandre and his son, Luke, surgically extracted salvageable lumber and cordwood from the tornado's tangled mess. Much of the work was like jackstraws, only with 40, 50, 60 foot trees piled on top of each other, much of it still under load. With Randy on the saw and Luke in the skidder, they safely did a fantastic job clearing what had become a real fire hazard. Thank you guys, for a great job, and for putting up with me looking/shooting over your shoulders.
